Feedback Walk: Comvation

Comvation is a web agency operating in Thun with a rather young team of 17 people. Flat hierarchies and a high level of involvement ensure a collegial and dynamic working atmosphere in the company.

As part of the pilot for the Toolkit: Women & Diversity in Innovation, Comvation has set itself the goals of offering employees different perspectives and further developing diversity in its teams. The SME eliminated traditional employee appraisals some time ago. Instead, regular “feedback walks” support employees in their personal development and contribute to effective networking among staff. For this purpose, Comvation has chosen a format with changing discussion partners. Only the approximate target timeframe for the walks was specified, allowing employees to form up spontaneously and choose the time themselves. Each feedback walk is recorded in a digital table that is accessible to all, to keep track of the frequency and formations. The aim is thereby to ensure the greatest possible degree of diversification in the exchange of experiences.

The biggest obstacle to conducting the feedback walks has been the employees’ physical separation from each other as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. However, this popular initiative will be resumed as soon as circumstances permit.
